I had walked passed here countless time but never been inside until now.

Breakfast is only available here on a Sunday.

A reasonable choice can be found on the breakfast menu at a fair price.

It's a lovely relaxing environment to enjoy breakfast with full table service.

A cafetiere ensured the coffee kept flowing and cost just £2.

The cutlery arrives nicely wrapped in napkin.

At first glance it may look a bit sparse but this isn't the case, it's just served on a very big plate giving you plenty of surface to manoeuvre the items and it certainly filled me up.

A birds eye view of this great tasting breakfast, it arrived at the table piping hot.

The East side of the plate contained tasty tomatoes and delicious chunky cut mushrooms. The bean juice reduction was about as good as it gets, this is exactly how I like my beans!

Over in the west lay double bacon, a single sausage and a nice pair of eggs.

My wife's vegetarian breakfast came with veggie sausage and Quorn bacon, she really enjoyed it.

My visit to The Earlham Arms took place exactly one year after Sergeant Sausage had visited, his review can be found here. This was to be the first time I had ventured out of the house since returning from The Japanese Food Adventure so I was well up for eating a Full English Breakfast, we headed inside..

Upon entering - The interior is modern and spacious with a good choice of places to sit, plenty of natural light floods in through the windows. The bar is straight ahead as you walk in but if you are coming here for breakfast simply find a table and take a seat as there is full table service. A menu can be found on each table along with some salt and pepper, sauces are offered once the food has arrived. It was certainly a nice relaxing environment to enjoy a breakfast on a Sunday morning. 8/10

Service - We were greeted as we entered and offered to sit anywhere we wanted, the service was friendly and we immediately felt welcome. Our order was taken and everything arrived at the table in good time. We were offered sauces and asked if everything was ok whilst eating, the friendly and efficient service here was excellent. 9/10

Contents - 1 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 1 hash brown, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and a slice of buttered toast. 7/10

Presentation - Everything looked nicely cooked and sat well on the large round plate. The beans were served in a separate pot, this was great as I wanted to pour them over the toast. 7/10

The food - A good quality sausage with nice firm texture and delicious bacon slightly browned. The eggs tasted really nice, one had a runny yolk and the other was slightly firmer, both great though. A crispy hash brown, a really flavoursome tomato delicious mushrooms. Really nice buttered toast and well reduced beans completed this great breakfast. 9/10

Value for money - It tasted great and considering how nice an environment this was £6.95 seemed really reasonable to me. 8/10

Veggie option - Veggie sausage, Quorn bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and buttered toast. £6.95

Overall - This breakfast may only be available for 90 minutes a week on a Sunday but it is definitely worth heading to The Earlham Arms for. Excellent service, a relaxing environment and a really enjoyable breakfast, a good veggie option too which is always nice to see. 8/10

  1. They do a cracking ham sandwich as well, if you add a cup of soup it really stuffs you.
