From their perspective they are just trying to do a good job (as dictated by their employers). These kind of sales tactics are probably universally hated, both by customers and the sales person who has to follow the script regardless of the risk of annoying the person being served.

I would urge anyone who feels strongly enough to complain about upselling, to complain instead to the head office of the chain in question. If enough people did this, it would send out a message that customers are more likely to be put off than yield to the sales tactic; which could force them to rethink this policy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1190068840984601731.post-20848255839929669422014-08-09T12:40:32.345+01:002014-08-09T12:40:32.345+01:00Have to say my local Little Chef Olympic looks a l...Have to say my local Little Chef Olympic looks a little better, certainly a full serving of beans. The black pudding tastes awful though so only had it once. The staff are great, friendly and helpful, and you can change items such as no sausage and extra bacon, and ask them to cook your bacon how you like and they accommodate. The only up sell I ever encountered was the pudding.VinniethePandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13007255521772804526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1190068840984601731.post-80543451673970290082014-06-01T15:57:42.121+01:002014-06-01T15:57:42.121+01:00Ahh, I see what you mean grammar inspector!
